Night Photography Meetup - Deansgate Area - 4pm-6pm - 2 hours
In this session, we will be exploring Manchester at night through the lens of a camera. We'll be looking at different exposure settings, composition and stylistic methods of capturing a narrative after dark. Think light trails, lit up buildings and interesting night scenes. Make sure to bring a tripod!
During this meetup we'll discuss and shoot how to photograph different aspects of architectural design. Deansgate has an interesting mixture of traditional industrial and modern hi-rise buildings, making it an ideal area for this style of photography.
Expect to come away with a better understanding of how to use composition and exposure to create eye-catching and thought provoking photographs.
Photography is all about playing with light, so the Christmas holidays can provide some great opportunities to really get creative! We’ll be exploring the city and capturing some lovely festive images using a mixture of long exposure and a keen eye.
Street photography can be addictive, but also frustrating at times! When there’s so much going on in front of your camera, it can be hard to pick out what to focus on and shoot. In this session we’ll be looking at how to separate a good photo story from the noise, and how to improve the photos you take when out and about with your camera.

Christmas Markets and The City At Night Class - Manchester City Centre - 3pm-6pm - 3 hours
In this 3 hour seminar, we'll start by exploring the city's Christmas markets and capturing festive street photographs using a fast shutter speed and a keen eye for detail. As it starts to get darker, we'll then shift our focus towards the lights and capturing stylistic night shots of the festivities. This is a special seminar in which we will cover a lot of different styles and techniques with a christmas theme!
